Together with one of our clients I interviewed 5 candidates for a new software development project today. We arranged a nice meeting room, the apartment of our hotel, to meet. We already had to start the meetings at 7 am and would have to finish at about 12. It occurred to be very exhausting for the interviewers.

After the meetings we evaluated the used interview techniques and I had to conclude that the questions were rather easy for the candidates. The interviewers hardly asked for real examples. My colleagues blog post about the STAR methodology is worth reading if you have to deal with interviews as well. Besides another tip. When you become tired just ask a question related to one of the last words the candidate used!
